Troy Class Boats

The ‘Troy’ class is unique to Fowey and is raced very competitively throughout the summer. 28 have been built since 1929 and most still survive. The latest boat - T28 was launched in 2009. The class is named after Troy Town – the fictional name given to Fowey by the writer and scholar Sir Arthur Quiller-Couch in many of his books. See Troy History for further details of this class.

We have found a Cornwall based canvas manufacturer who creates an excellent quality product at an affordable price. Quality is indiscernable from that of my professional photography laboratory but at a fraction of the price. We are, therefore able to pass these savings on to you and make our images more affordable.

The images are available as canvases in two sizes on 39mm stretcher bars

  • Large (32in x 20in or 28in x 20in - depending on the aspect ratio of the original image) - £90 inclusive of p&p

  • Medium (20in x 16in or 20in x 14in depending on the aspect ratio of the original image) - £70 inclusive of p&p

The deep 39mm stretcher bars give an impressive looking 39mm wrap around the sides and make the canvas stand out from the wall.

Your canvas will be printed using a 12 colour ink system on 340-350 gsm matt cotton canvas giving excellent colour reproduction and as the inks are pigment based they should not fade. This ink system also gives true monochrome on the black and white images without any colour cast.

Your canvas will be made to order and shipped directly from the canvas manufacturer. This usually takes 10-15 working days.
